ANYONE walking past Blackrock Castle in Cork Harbour recently must have noticed that, behind its ugly security fencing, the building becomes more forlorn-looking and derelict

Can it really be that the City Council paid top dollar for this pretty gingerbread castle without having the foggiest notion what they intended to do with it?

The cost of security alone must be enormous to date. Does anyone know what plans, if any, there are for the future of this building?
