‘Spike’ Milligan
What an opportunity now to keep alive his memory in our small but considering its size amazingly gifted country.
I am, of course, suggesting that the new monument in O'Connell St, Dublin, be a shining memorial to an old, venerable and much loved edifice the incomparable and up to now the one and only.
And how Dubs and the rest of us would love to be able to say: "Hey, let's go and see Milligan!" Just the one word and the world could celebrate a new Spike!
Looking down (or up), the 'original' would be mightily amused, and truly honoured.
