You hate Bush, we hate the way you rip us off
We visit Co Cork every year as we have relatives and friends there.
What baffles me is the hatred of President George W Bush published by the press in Ireland, including the Irish Examiner, and broadcast by the sound media. If all your news came from the liberal media and CNN, I could understand your attitude.
I’m a conservative, which means I believe in family values and I respect God, life and my adopted country. All these qualities are shared by our president. The USA will not be dictated to by foreign liberal powers or the UN, which is a puppet of the French and Germans. We will choose our own destiny.
After our recent family visit to Ireland, I suggest that your media and politicians should devote more attention to some of the less desirable features of modern Ireland like the rip-off prices of car rental, petrol, food, clothing, housing, healthcare (including doctors’ fees), alcohol and cigarettes.
Maybe that’s why you have to go around with pockets bulging with coins instead of demanding the introduction of Euro notes.
Some of your readers seem to think they have the answer to our problems, but let’s hear their solutions for some of your own.
