TWO years ago I founded an organisation called Greyhound Planet to help promote greyhound adoption and awareness all over the world.

We have affiliates in Ireland.

The news (Irish Examiner, Nov 20) that greyhounds were found starved to death in a skip in Kilkenny is deplorable. This has angered more people than you can imagine. I have three adopted greyhounds (one of which has Irish lineage) and I could never bring myself to harm them in any way.
