I got a heap of texts last week from lads asking me if there was any chance I could get them a ticket for the Dublin Racing Festival in Leopardstown on Saturday. It was nearly like a scramble for All-Ireland final tickets. They sold 20,000 for Saturday but they’d to postpone that meeting until today because of a waterlogged track.
For once in our lives down on the west coast, we haven’t got the deluge and incessant monsoons that the east have suffered, particularly from Dublin down to Wexford.
