Minister’s approach was inappropriate
I was infuriated by Defence Minister Willie O'Dea's attempt to hide behind "the norm" in other countries with the kind of statistical diatribe normally used to fudge any issue. His demeanour was aggressive and confrontational and totally inappropriate considering the sensitivity of the subject.
I am not party political, but this performance by Mr O'Dea seemed to typify the arrogance of this Government.
As we all know, a few members of this administration have been apprehended for serious driving offences, but were not punished by their masters in Government.
Some example from our alleged leaders. And now the Government couldn't even be bothered to present on TV someone who might come across as compassionate and caring.
Arrogance or perhaps incompetence brought to a new level at a time when five teenage girls died and their families were shattered.
