Pay-per-vote

GIVING TDs a wage increase based on increased productivity seems to be an extremely difficult thing to evaluate.

One solution would be to link any increase with the overall turnout at a general election ie, a 50% turnout equals a 50% wage increase.

This would also serve another purpose, as I'm sure if their increases were linked to turnout all the parties would make a far greater effort to get people out to vote.

Who knows, if everyone did vote we might get a government which wasn't boring, conservative, addicted to double-speak and obsessed with appeasing big business.
