Let the Rebels fly the flag for their heroes

WITH the present impasse in Cork hurling, I think it’s time for Cork supporters – the Rebels – to prove their mettle.

A decent rebel is someone who comes out in open resistance when authority is wrong. I am heartened to see that our hurlers led initially by Donal Óg Cusack had the courage to speak out strongly, like true rebels.

However, it's a great pity they are not being supported now with the fervour they would arouse if they were within minutes of winning an All-Ireland.
