Stamp of disapproval

SO Paul Kinsella (Irish Examiner letters, Sept 2) thinks that An Post should receive a subsidy over and above the extortionate increase in the price of a stamp.

An Post is the latest in a long line of State bodies in need of overhaul and the sooner this occurs, the better. Pleas for subsidies or special case arguments have no basis in the case of an overstaffed, inefficient organisation primarily run for the benefit of its employees.
