Well-kept secret is not a cover-up

Any ecclesiastical investigation into sinning by a priest in the confessional may result in the priest confessing to, or admitting, these sins to several people, including the accuser.

The Vatican document Crimen Sollicitationis does not refer to secrecy in ordinary confessions.
