New Year message

SEASON’S greetings to all residents of long-stay hospitals/nursing homes who await restitution from the State of money illegally taken from their social welfare payments.

It is incredible that a country awash with money has not fulfilled its moral and legal obligation on this issue.

On behalf of all who have been victimised, I plead with the minister for health to ensure that the wrong will be righted very early in 2,006.
