Sip of truth for councillors

I WAS fascinated to read Sean O’Riordan’s report (Irish Examiner, November 13) that members of Cork County Council want to drink the water they supply rather than Ballygowan. I wish them luck.

They would not want to drink the water they supply for our domestic use in Bandon. It comes from the Bandon River, which is one of the cleanest in Ireland. Alas, what comes into our homes stinks of chlorine.

So, councillors, you had better not supply your proposed new bottling business with water from Bandon domestic supply.
