Buck-passing halts airport shuttle bus
There are two specially-designed airport buses in Cork at the moment but Aer Rianta say it is not their function to use them.
Servisair say they will not use them, even though they are in Servisair livery, as Aer Rianta will not pay them for their use. It is known as buck-passing. They also quote insurance, union and a host of other excuses as to why they cannot use them.
Aer Rianta own and run the airport and if they can spend €130 million on new facilities, it should not be impossible to organise a bus from the aircraft to the terminal. Those buses could be in service in 48 hours if anyone wanted them, but nobody does least of all Aer Rianta.
So, dear passengers, continue to enjoy swimming to the terminal.
