Buck-passing halts airport shuttle bus

I REFER to the letter of Cllr Tom Wood (Irish Examiner, August 31) concerning the lack of a shuttle bus at Cork Airport.

There are two specially-designed airport buses in Cork at the moment but Aer Rianta say it is not their function to use them.

Servisair say they will not use them, even though they are in Servisair livery, as Aer Rianta will not pay them for their use. It is known as buck-passing. They also quote insurance, union and a host of other excuses as to why they cannot use them.
