I CAN’T help feeling reassured when a shadowy foreigner with family connections to a discredited regime is arrested under suspicion of exporting terror.

Point of principle

But the principle that one is innocent until proven guilty cannot be sidelined by political expediency. It is important that Mark Thatcher gets a fair trial.

And I hope that he has a better cell than the metal holes of Guantánamo.
