PARENTS Alone Support Service (PASS) urges trade unionists and other social partners to reject the current Partnership Agreement. PASS have seen a rapid deterioration in the living conditions of lone parents with soaring prices impacting on the quality of life of our membership.

The last agreement failed to increase opportunities for lone parents to re-enter the workforce and actually reduce their participation in community employment one of the few interventions that proved successful for many lone parents.

Child facilities for children of creché age have only marginally improved, but the cost of such services rule many lone parents out of the workforce.
