Bravery is one of those easily described, but generally underestimated, qualities most of us hope we can find, when — if — the testing moment arrives. None of us can be sure we would find the courage needed to do something extraordinary, something utterly selfless to try to rescue a stranger from a life-threatening situation, so those who have done just that deserve society’s thanks and recognition.

Bravery is one of those easily described, but generally underestimated, qualities most of us hope we can find, when — if — the testing moment arrives.
