IN THE last 15 years, the Mediterranean Sea has transformed into a graveyard for more than 20,000 migrants and refugees searching for protection and a better life in Europe.

In response, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has announced that it will launch search-and-rescue operations in the Mediterranean Sea.
