Check the backgrounds of your independent candidate

General Election fever is rampant at present.

I note from reading the Irish Examiner that there are a number of independent councillors are naturally contesting the election.

Let us not forget many of these councillors have propped up Fianna Fáil at local authority level over the years.

Therefore, why don’t they do the honest thing and join Fianna Fáil because if elected to Dáil Eireann, can we trust them to not once more jump into bed with Fianna Fáil?
