Woman, 30s, seriously injured following assault in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them. 

A woman has been hospitalised with serious injuries following an alleged incident of serious assault in Dublin. 

The incident happened shortly after 3.40pm on Monday near a residence on Main Street, Belmayne. 

The woman, in her 30s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

A family liaison officer has been appointed, and a technical examination of the scene has been carried out. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

Anyone in the vicinity of Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday, September 28, 2026, between 3pm and 3.45pm, who may have video footage, including dash-cam, is asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

"Investigations are ongoing," a Garda spokesperson said.
