RTE should not speak at their interviewees

Listening to Morning Ireland (August 8), I couldn’t help but think: is it the role of an RTÉ journalist to abruptly interrupt the leader of the SDLP and tell (note: not ask) him that “the PSNI say that the Republican Movement are totally committed to peace” when he was trying to provide local knowledge that it is not?
