Delaney and his board need to step down

Does John Delaney seriously think that anyone would believe that the F.A.I. would take legal action over Thierry Henri ’s hand ball incident which robbed Ireland’s World Cup place?

Delaney and his board need to step down

Didn’t Sepp Blatter nearly choke from laughing at the suggestion from the F.A.I. that Ireland be let in the “back door”?

And then we learn the F.A.I. were given a €5million sweetener as France got through.

Why did we have to wait until now to learn this?

And what was that money spent on?

I don’t recall any press release in regard to same. It’s very coincidental that this revelation should come in the same week as the massive corruption in F.I.F.A.

To me, the position of John Delaney and the board of the F.A.I. are untenable.

The fact is they received money and never disclosed it to the people who pay their considerable salaries, the footballing fans and general public.

What they did was sneaky and underhanded. They should do the honourable thing and resign.
