The poor aren’t given crumbs from the table

Ireland is open for business. We have exited the bailout. I’d imagine people on work schemes that pay €20 to €50 don’t know what to do with their new-found wealth.

The poor aren’t given crumbs from the table

There’s Enda, the toast of Europe, the king of austerity. Good on you, Enda.

But you forgot to tell Angela about the people on trolleys in hospitals and their loss of dignity. No mention of a health service in meltdown.

Or the broken promises you and the Labour party made at the election. And now a pay rise for the public sector?

Well, good luck to them. But, Enda, what about the cuts in social welfare, to carers and to the disabled? Aren’t those people entitled to a slice of the cake?

If the economy is really ‘on the up’, then lets all get a seat at the same table.
