At a moment in human history when data of all kind, music, images, text, and film was never more easily accessed or shared, it may be seen as pointless to try to control what people watch on all sorts of electronic devices.

Yet, in what can only be described as an advance for humanity, that is exactly what information company UPC have done.

They have signed an agreement with the Government to immediately restrict access to domain names carrying child sexual abuse material. Such constraints are already in place in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia, UK, France, and Malta, and this approach is endorsed by both Interpol and Europol.
