Closing the long wave service is wrong. I use it occasionally when the FM signal fails.

RTE announced it is postponing the closedown until January to allow people in Britain time to explore other options such as receiving the channel via the internet. However this will not enable them to receive the channel on their car radios where many people travelling to and from work listen to their radios. A saving of €250,000 as has been announced is not justified considering the many Irish in Britain who will have a link to their homeland terminated,
