News that the State-owned Permanent TSB has presided over the eviction of 25 families is disturbing. Back in 2008, government went out on a €400bn limb for bank bondholders.

The corollary to that should have been a no eviction and no electricity cut off guarantee. The current Government has continued with that betrayal.

Had the right, and just, thing been done, from the start, the city of Dublin wouldn’t have 11,000 homeless, dreading another winter.
