Even a Brooks concert is subject to permission

Only an ‘eejit’ would build a house without planning permission, as he would be ordered to knock it down. The Garth Brooks fiasco was no different. So the promoters have a lot to answer for.

But it is shameful that a resolution could not have been found with, say, the surplus of concerts in Croke Park this year being balanced by a reduction in the number to be held next year. Everybody has lost out.
