Late match not fair play

I am disappointed with the GAA re the timing of the recent Cork v Dublin All Ireland football quarter-final.

Late match not fair play

It is unfair of the committee at Croke Park to schedule this game inconveniently for supporters who have to travel home at a late hour after the game. Many Cork supporters will have a journey of 200 miles. Common sense and fairness dictate that the game be played at a more appropriate time.

Cork supporters who travel in numbers in tough economic times deserve an afternoon game.

Let us hope that the Croke Park authorities will be conscious of geographical and distance in the future, and that there will not be a repetition.

All units of the association in the county should register their feelings on this matter, with the County Board, who, in turn, should communicate same to Croke Park.
