If only our abattoirs had glass walls

Those of us who refrain from eating dead animal flesh have a saying ‘if only slaughterhouses had glass walls’.

Naive we might be, but to those who care about animals being used as food and the inherent suffering there is news of sorts regarding slaughterhouses or abattoirs.

Already 14 of Northern Ireland’s slaughterhouses have CCTV, and possibly the other remaining six may follow suit.
