Hysterical US now an armed police state

Hearing and looking at some of the TV coverage and reading media reports about the Boston atrocity, It appears to me that the US has become an armed police state that suffers regular hysterical outbursts.

Boston seemed to bristle with armed militia and vehicles whilst ordinary citizens were deprived of going about their daily chores.

This was not about an invasion of Martians or North Koreans or whoever the bogeymen of the time are, it was about seeking the apprehension of two young men wanted in connection with a terrorist bombing on American soil.
