There has been much debate about the GAA giving the green light to the black card which will come into practice at the start of the 2014 season.

Like many other followers of Gaelic football and hurling, I fear that the introduction of this new rule may lead to chaos.

Our national games have changed beyond recognition over the last few years — especially football, with so much emphasis on defensive play and more hand passing than high fielding and kicking the ball.
