Royal prank call was ‘just a bit of fun’
Hospitals generally are very slow to admit to their own mistakes, often to the hurt feelings and the humiliation of grieving families.
We must not become so cruel as to lay blame at the door of a couple of innocent youngsters who were only doing the kind of gag which is pulled every day.
And why was any information given out about the princess in the first place?
I have rung up hospitals from time to time to ask after the health of relatives only to be told such information is not given over the phone.
All the more reason for safeguards when someone is enquiring after the health of a high profile patient like Kate.
The hospital needs to look to itself regarding the obvious breakdown of internal guidelines.
