Septic tank charges won’t improve water conditions

REGARDING the €50 charge for septic tank inspection, how in God’s name will that improve water conditions for people living in the country?

If town and city residents have public sewers provided, surely country people are entitled to the same conditions or do we have to return to the ’40s and ’50s, and climb over the ditch with the dock leaves?

Also I should mention that five years ago, it cost me €600 to get water from across the road a distance of four metres and now it appears I must pay for it again.
