EVERYBODY is entitled to their opinion in the current debate about clothing standards for our political representatives.

Dress to impress

If civil servants are serious about public sector reform, they also should adopt a better dress code in the civil service.

Many civil servants already dress quite well. They are a credit to their country. The others should show more pride in their jobs and have more respect for the public. Workers do not need official guidelines on what to wear. They just need common sense, good taste and personal flair.
