Putting rescue service heroes in the frame

THANK you for publishing my photos of the dramatic rescue from the River Lee (July 9).

I am sorry to say, however, that I believe you missed the point of me sharing them with you and consequently the people of Ireland.

It appeared to be a diary of my adventure in Cork when I thought the story was the actions of the brave men of the fire brigade who risked their own lives and safety by leaping into the very danger from which they pulled the unfortunate young woman.
