Failed foreign policy

THE announcement by US President Barack Obama that US forces are pulling out of Afghanistan is another example of a foreign policy that has gone very wrong for this US Government.

Thousands of ordinary civilians have been killed in this conflict and yet no clear signs of improvement can be seen, or more importantly, felt, by Afghan citizens.

Their social and political structure is no better than it was before and the Taliban are still there.
