Bitter pill for taxpayers

THE news that David Drumm received a tax rebate of €12k is yet another bitter pill to swallow for the hard-pressed taxpayer in Ireland.

Yet what makes it all the more galling is the arrogance he is demonstrating throughout his bankruptcy proceedings in the US.

Let’s hope the US authorities are not taken in and act accordingly.
