Dual monarchy idea overtaken by events

MICHAEL Galvin (Letters, July 15) states that Judy Peddle (Letters, July 12) does no service to historical truth regarding the case of Arthur Griffith and dual monarchy.

Mr Galvin then goes on to reveal his own truth by stating a dual monarchy was somehow lingering in the background to be implemented if needed, despite the Irish people declaring a republic trough its franchise in December 1918.

Could Mr Galvin show us any evidence for such a claim, and could he further explain how dual monarchy would be implemented.
