Truth won’t emerge from behind closed doors

BRITISH Prime Minister Gordon Brown has opted for a secret inquiry into the invasion of Iraq by the Anglo-American alliance.

Those who participate will be exempt from any legal liability.

Mr Brown would be wiser to opt instead for an independent impartial inquiry to be held in public. A credible quest for the truth will hardly happen in a behind-closed-doors investigation.
