Cowen should get back our greatest asset

TAOISEACH Brian Cowen would want to wake up and smell the roses.

We fishermen are probably responsible for the no vote on the Lisbon Treaty.

Mr Cowen, hold your head high as a proud Irishman when you fight for our rights in Europe. We have given 5 to the EU for every 1 we have received. Taoiseach, listen to the fishermen.

Get us more quota from Europe and we won’t bother your Government coffers. The French have 10 times our quota in ‘our’ waters, yet they block up Europe over the price of oil.

Mr Cowen, go and retrieve the country’s biggest asset which your party gave away in the 1970s.

More quota = yes Lisbon.
