Danger signs

RECENTLY I drove through Castlemartyr, currently being banjaxed by Cork County Council, which should have built a bypass there. I left the 50km/h and 60km/h zones and, after about half-a-mile of 100km/h, we were slowed down to 60km/h on a newly surfaced and lined stretch of road.

Danger signs

There were many warning signs of men at work and flag men, and this 60km/h lasted all the way to Midleton.

Since, apparently, the work has been completed, surely these signs and cones should be removed. Their presence brings signage into disrepute and raises the question: if the work is done, should we assume the temporary speed limit no longer applies?
