System failure

The majority of prisoners do not come out in a state which ensures they can be fully reintegrated into society. For most of them life outside does not open new job or accommodation opportunities.

The revolving door syndrome means that offenders leave prison without adequate rehabilitation and without the support required to ensure reintegration into society. It is important that appropriate rehabilitation projects are established. A major injection of capital is needed to improve conditions in our prisons.
