PARC (Public Against Road Carnage) was set up in 2006 to combat road deaths and injuries and has been campaigning ever since for compulsory drink and drugs testing of all drivers involved in accidents.

Why not test crash drivers who survive?

To date, 40,000 signatures have been handed in to the Department of Transport. We are still waiting for the Government to introduce this change which we feel would be a great deterrent to driving under the influence of an intoxicant.

We wish to make contact with the many people whose lives have been blighted by road accidents. Our research has shown there are many impediments to the testing of drivers for intoxicants after collisions unless, of course, the driver happens to be killed.
