The financial reality facing our sports’ clubs

WITH regard to your report headlined ‘Property developers hinder rugby club hopes’ ( Irish Examiner, April 17), I would like to make it clear that what I meant was that a small, voluntary body can’t compete with commercial concerns.

May I also place it on record that Bantry Bay rugby football club receives substantial support from the building and development industry in Bantry, for which it is very grateful.
