TV documentary on a bad year for city

HAWKEYE Films is researching a TV documentary concentrating on 1984 in Cork city, looking at the effects of the closure of Verolme Dockyard, Ford (and Dunlop in 1983) on the city’s families, community and spirit.

We wish to speak to families or individuals who worked for or were connected with these companies and became unemployed as a result of the closures.

All information will be treated with due respect and confidence.

Contributions from Irish speakers also would be very welcome.
