ARCHIVAL footage mixed with accounts of life working in Cork’s docklands will feature in a special documentary to be screened tonight on TG4.

Hawkeye Films is researching a documentary for TG4 on Cork’s docklands, looking at the impact the year 1984 had on the city, when Verolme and Ford closed, and the present redevelopment of the area.

HAWKEYE Films is researching a TV documentary concentrating on 1984 in Cork city, looking at the effects of the closure of Verolme Dockyard, Ford (and Dunlop in 1983) on the city’s families, community and spirit.

HAWKEYE Films is researching a documentary on Salthill seaside resort, Galway. Commissioned by TG4, it will be broadcast in autumn.
