Man arrested and eight injured in two separate crashes in Clare

One man has been arrested and eight people have been hospitalised following two separate crashes in Co Clare on Sunday. 

Six people - a male and female, both in their teens, as well as a woman and three men -  were taken to hospital after a two-car crash, which occurred at around 6.30pm on the N67 Spanish Point road out of Miltown Malbay, about 500m from the town’s square and outside the local GAA field.
