Man charged in connection with Christmas Eve shooting in Dublin

A man has been charged in connection with the investigation into a shooting in Dublin on Christmas Eve.

He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am on Monday.

Tristan Sherry died after being assaulted during an incident at Browne's Steakhouse on Main Street in Blanchardstown at about 8pm on December 24.

Jason Hennessy Snr, who was in his late 40s, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the shooting and later died in hospital.

A second juvenile male, who was also arrested on Sunday morning, has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The two men were the eighth and ninth arrests made as part of the investigation.
