Man, 60s, arrested following €130k drug and cash seizure in Cork

Gardaí in Cork have arrested a man following the discovery of drugs worth almost €130,000.

Assisted by the Serious Crime Unit and the Garda Dog Unit, Gardaí carried out a search of a house in the Knocknaheeney area yesterday.

During the course of the search, €111,700 of cocaine and €18,000 of cannabis resin (pending analysis) was recovered alongside €1,200 in cash also seized.

A man, aged in his 60s, was arrested at the scene.

He is currently being detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station.
