Man, 40s, dead following shooting in Dún Laoghaire

A man, aged in his 40s, was shot dead in Dublin on Sunday.
The victim was shot at Patrician Park, Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire at around 8:30am.
The victim's body remains at the scene with gardaí saying a postmortem will take place in due course.
Officers have sealed off the scene so it can be technically examined.
"A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an Incident Room has been established at Dún Laoghaire Garda Station," a spokesperson said.
"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
"Anyone with any information including road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling near Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire between 8am and 9am on Sunday are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí."
