Calls for the reduction of speed limits as Minister launches Road Safety Week

Local Authorities are being urged to introduce more 30km/h zones in towns and cities around the country.

Update 1.41pm: The CEO of the Road Safety Authority, Moyagh Murdock, has said local authorities might be reluctant to cut speed limits.

The RSA found six in 10 drivers break urban speed limits.
